That he drove aggressively into a crowd might be a reason.

In the picture you posted there is clearly brake lights on his car. How is that driving into them aggressively?

If you are driving down a street and end up driving into a protest where the protestors have already been violent are you really going to stop? Are you really going to allow them to drag you from your car and beat you, possibly beat you to death? Why would you not defend yourself? How would you defend yourself in this situation?

I have actually been in a situation where people blocked the road and tried to force me to stop. I didn't know anything about them but I was not about to let them force me to stop. I kept driving and they got out of the way. I felt I had no choice and if I had hit one I would feel terrible but I would still know I had no choice.

The brakes are not applied again until after hitting multiply people and ramming the other cats then finally coming to a stop with out brakes. He then steps on the brake and puts it in reverse.
