Surrounded by an angry mob armed with baseball bats and poles who are OUT FOR BLOOD your first thought would be:
'WHAT HAVE I GOT TO LOSE?, I AM GOING TO DIE ANYWAY'
As your tagline suggests. I have decided to stop tolerating you.
Suppose he went in there on foot and then started madly stabbing as many people as possible. We should have sympathy for him because he was frightened by the reaction of the crowd?
Well, thanks for taking the time, FRiend. Please, educate me on the “distortions” in my logic.
True. He may have found himself in an impossible situation. Being attacked from the rear and every side.
“Why was he driving toward those people to begin with?”
No one but the driver really knows, but it is possible that after the Virginia State Police ordered his group to leave, he was trying to leave. Charlottesville has lots of narrow, one way streets, inadequate parking, and all sorts of places for pedestrians to suddenly pop up that can be difficult enough under normal conditions. Someone from out of town might have made bad choices on where to park or turn, and found themselves trapped by the crowd. Would be interesting to trace the driver’s route from wherever the car was parked to the injury location.
Or was it? There is good indication that he was attacked a block previously by Antifa folks as he was leaving the car park. So did he really have safe egress behind him or not? I have seen frames from video of cars and people being attacked at the exit of the car park. I am inclined to believe that he may very well have not felt there was a way to just reverse and get away. Take a look at the videos and frames of the car park exit. Would you have gone back there if you knew that was what lay behind you?
It wasn’t a muscle car. It had a 6 in it.
lol
you are the one confusing the cause and effect.
the guy with the poll/flag or whatever hit the guys cars, then he accelerated forward, crashed, and then put it into reverse and accelerated backward as MANY RIOTERS rushed forwards and started smashing his car.
It doesn’t matter. It introduces the idea that a riot was in progress. All bets are off at that point.
“you can be convicted of reckless vehicular homicide”
Well, vehicular manslaughter anyway. It cost Vince Neil several weekends in jail. And he’d been awake for days on a booze and blow bender when he crashed his Pantera and killed Razzle.
Virtually overtime a car drives into a crowd of people, a crowd tries to attack the car. I’ve kind of dismissed it.
Is it illegal to drive on a public street now?
Where? And how is a situation you have left relevant to a new and seperate situation? Especially when you're on a street that is empty behind you.
He drove into the crowd then the car was struck with a short flag pole
One has to live with bad mistakes. Except in his case he made a bad mistake much worse and not only hurt a lot of people but killed one of them. Prisons are full of people who made bad mistakes.
I tried to several times over the last few days and you ignored every post to you. Your interest now is disingenuous and I'm not going to waste my time.
I don't know his state of mind. I only introduce these items to bring up relevant facts that may be critical to his defense in a criminal case.
You win. Maybe there will be a lottery to hammer the nails in when this kid is executed and you can get a chance.
I see a car with its brake lights on that hasn’t hit anyone yet reving it’s engine as a warning and some people with a brain getting out of the way...
THEN the guy with the poll hits the car, and THEN the car accelerates and hits people.
