“Not one single Trump voter I know has changed his/her opinion.”
That’s what I see in my microcosm, here in the suburbs north of Philadelphia. In fact, the resolve is even stronger with the Trump people I know.
By definition, Trump supporters are independant thinkers, and they don’t like being constantly lied to and lied about by the RINOs and the MSM. On top of that, Trump has turned out to be the real deal for true conservatives. Trump has exceeded the expectations of even his staunchest supporters.
If anything, it’s the lefties that seem reluctant to bring up politics nowadays. They still hate Trump like good little lefties, but they seem almost ashamed of the gibberish that comes out of their own mouths. They can never back anything up so all you have to do is ask “like what?” and they shut up.
So, I think many democrats will not vote at all in future elections, Republicans will pick up seats in 2018 and Trump will easily get reelected in 2020. I’m not sure how much of his agenda he’ll get passed - there are so many Dems and RINOs out to get him and the MSM is nothing but a DNC propaganda ministry.
My big question has to do with this escalating war between Trump and the lying MSM. It seems like for Trump to win this war, the MSM needs to be destroyed in some tangible way. They can’t go on serving as the propaganda arm of the DNC and still continue to be trusted by the public to report “The News”. Something has to crack.
I know, polls show they are not trusted, but people still watch, people still read it because despite the Internet, the MSM is a monopoly. Even here on FR it is mostly recycled MSM stuff being discussed.
But is that even possible? Can Trump actually break the MSM monopoly, make them go away, or shame them into being honest and objective?
Correct. They need to be destroyed.
To understand who they are, however, is key: they do NOT need “profits” to survive. They don’t need viewers to survive. They are supported, just as the papers in Andrew Jackson’s time were, by the Dem Party. 100%. It may be funneled in through other corporate kickbacks, but however it comes in, it’s not because people VIEWING them like their message or even like their advertisers.
So the goal is to take out the sugar daddies & corporations subsidizing them, to make them squeal so badly they must cut the “news” organizations loose. This can happen, but it will take a dedicated offensive to strategically destroy advertisers and bombard them with lawsuits until they just leave.
