Will the German people vote for more of these destructive, suicidal policies? If they do, then they are beyond hope.

I was in Germany, from 80 to 84. I thought they were beyond hope back then. I thought the whole country was overrun with Turks, and others as well.
My opinion is, the Germans will vote for more of these destructive, suicidal policies. Who knows how long it will take, but sooner or later, I think Germany will cease to be Germany. Maybe the leaders think they are insulated from their lunatic policies. They are not.

Interesting to know. I moved here in '82 - when the Greens were morphing from an extremist fringe group to a parliamentary force (of course, they're still fringey in my mind).

The assumption then was that the Turks were here (in W. Germany) just as a temporary workforce. Countless polls pointed out that most Turks intended to return to their homeland for retirement - well, we know now what to make of that.
