How does this work exactly? Will the nut jobs in the big cities, ie, San Francisco, Los Angeles, etc., control the votes? What about those in Kalifornia who would like to rid themselves from the leftwingers on the coast and remain part of the United States. How could the cities exist without out of state water?

When there was talk of Quebec leaving Canada, the federal government and its supporters put out so much talk about what Quebec would have to leave behind that the secession movement didn’t succeed. Federal Canada gave Quebec a lot of land that now has dams and hydroelectric power and Ottawa said it wanted all that back if Quebec went. If the secession movement heats up, apply that to California, starting with the water from Hoover dam, and secession won’t get very far.
