In a matter of a days, tensions with North Korea appear to have calmed down considerably.
Most of that is thanks to China making a series of positive moves and statements.
This is shaping up to be a big win for the Trump administration.

Less than a week ago, the world seemed to be on the edge of a nuclear confrontation or at least a bloody military conflict in East Asia.
What a difference a few days make.
After a weekend filled with a series of conciliatory statements from China, some of them downright surprising, the situation with North Korea seems to be less tense right now, which could be construed as a major win for the Trump team.
To be specific, the big move came Monday as China agreed to ban imports of North Korean iron, lead, and coal as part of new U.N. sanctions on Pyongyang. That's hitting Kim Jon Un's regime where it hurts.

I agree with you it’s not “resolved”.
Resolution would mean no more DPRK and no PRC either, for that matter.
This has been a NK/PRC pattern for a long time. Every new administration they cause a crisis like situation. China comes in and helps settle it down and humanitarian aid of other is forthcoming.
“In a matter of a days, tensions with North Korea appear to have calmed down considerably.
Most of that is thanks to China”
Uhh, no. Most of that is thanks to Trump. If the MSM weren’t so clueless or even worse, down right hostile to President Trump, they’d understand that this didn’t just happen by accident. Imagine that. POTUS makes unequivocal statements that China’s proxy (AKA North Korea) will be devastated if they make any more threats against the U.S. and its allies. In addition, he begins to turn the economic screws on China. And lo and behold, China miraculously starts to exert the pressure they’ve always had over North Korea.
The simpletons in the media are completely puzzled as to how this all happened, but the one thing they know is that China is the one to thank.
Grown-ups back in charge!MAGA!
Stop interrupting them while they kick statues and scream and throw things.
Yep. With you on this. It was never gonna be Guam from the getgo.
Why waste his 15 minutes on Guam?
LOL
I don’t doubt you ... but that’s funny.
Lol
I still have confidence in our president but he needs to preempt them NOW!!

That wouldn’t be wise.
Hello Raider,
I disagree. I think President Trump will tolerate more missile tests and even slbm tests. But if Kim gets close to Guam (or anywhere close to America or our allies), it’s over for Kimmy.
I do believe, however, that Trump has already decided that a nuclear Nork cannot be tolerated. On some fine Tuesday morning(or moonless Thursday night), hellfire will rain down on Nork. Sad, but it’s gonna happen unless Nork gives up its nuclear program.
Ill bet were in for a real surprise.

What kind of surprise? You think the President has something up his sleeve?
I believe that Kim will fire more than one missile within hours and they will fall in the sea within 50 miles of Guam. But we wont know that until they splash. I hope you are right about Trump . It will define him in history.
I agree. Somehow this is a win because Kim is suddenly quiet? Heck - he may be down in his bunker.
Didn't chubs threaten to fire off a couple of missiles toward Guam on the 15th...tomorrow?
yes and I remind all the Pollyanna feel gooders that Kim said “MID AUGUST”. Guess what? We are so naieve as a nation. I just pray Trump is ready. He has unexpectedly returned to D.C. and it ain’t “trade negotiations.” Tell the sheeple there are no sharks in the ocean at the Amityville beach. It is better for them.

Is that you, John McCain? You are supposed to be on a medical vacation.
The current situation is a slightly upgraded version of the last one. If it does not followed by a significant movement to a resolution, all it does is to freeze the situation It would merely delay the process not reverse it.
