The permitted, court-ordered protesters were attacked by BLM and Antifa. And that was OK with the cops until one of the protesters had enough and flipped out.
The USDOJ needs to interview every cop in that dept and every state cop that was assigned there. They most certainly were ordered to be hands-off, IN SPITE of a Federal Judge's order.
Meanwhile, the media won't even name Antifa, and just keeps calling them "counterprotesters."

I saw a live leaks video today where the woman recording said that the cops left once Antifa started marching (shortly before the car incident). She continued recording till the cops came. It must have been 15 minutes. Unacceptable.

Joe Longo was highly respected here, and retired a year or so ago.
It is almost incomprehensible that all of the foot traffic from the counter protesters was allowed in the location where the homicide occurred.
This was really obvious to almost everyone...
For the most part, the cops just stood there off on the sidelines, looking professional.
Looked just like Berkeley, CA. where the cops did nothing.

Because one of the groups had a permit, and the city was under a Federal Court Order to allow them to demonstrate.
The Judge should hold the police chief and mayor in contempt, jailing them for 90 days.
Then the DOJ needs to consider charges against all city and state officials for denying civil rights under color of law. That would make all of them complicit in the murder of the lefty girl.

Charlottesville wanted further justification to remove Confederate Monuments. What better way to produce that than a full blown racial riot? Let two Socialist Hate factions into the same space and watch the fireworks!
