For the past seven months, fellow conservatives have pointed to Donald Trump’s appointment of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court and the deregulatory efforts of the Trump White House, among other things, and then demanded to know why my view of this presidency has remained negative.
Charlottesville is why.
There are policies the administration has pursued with which I disagree. And there have been incompetencies in the pursuit of policies like the repeal of ObamaCare I’ve found disheartening.
But these are disagreements and failings I could live with, I think, when I consider what the policy alternatives might have been under Hillary Clinton.
I couldn’t live with myself if I supported a president who can’t bring himself to denounce Nazis and white supremacists unqualifiedly and by name.
I’ve also been basically ordered to support the president by conservative intellectuals for the good of America, just as Daenerys Targaryen keeps telling Jon Snow on “Game of Thrones” to bend the knee to save Westeros.
“This is a civil war,” the former media mogul Conrad Black wrote this week about the liberals who are seeking to destroy Trump, and Black insists that “the choice, for sane conservatives, is Trump or national disaster.”
Really? And what if the choice is between national disaster and . . . national disaster?
Like everybody else, our president watched video of a white supremacist deliberately drive a car into a crowd of liberal protesters, and then back up the car and drive back over them again. And our president responded by condemning violence “on many sides” and offering his “best regards” to the casualties.
This was not a mistake on Trump’s part. This was a deliberate communications choice.

1. There’s no reason a President of the US has to comment on a local riot (and his comment, which he didn’t have to make, about violence on both sides is accurate).
2. It has nothing to do with Trump.
3. It is a fund raising gimmick by the Dems (that will get them a lot of donations) and a distraction from very real and important issues being tackled by Trump and his administration.

They said “you”—not what others claimed. The “blood and soil” chant was stupid. Someone should educated conservative young men and teach them to more thoroughly distinguish themselves from the Nazis who pry their way in and upstage them.
First Amendment rights should be respected. Neo-Nazis and Ku Klux Klan groups should not be used as tools to libel conservative men and shut them up. The same was done to fathers’ rights advocates during the 1990s by anti-family socialists in government, business and academia.
Public political speech is protected by our First Amendment. Counter-protests to smother political speech with noise are not.

I was very skeptical and against seeing Donald Trump elected. But so far, his administration is working in the right direction for defense, family (even in immigration policy), Israel and America. Looks very encouraging.
Do you really want our country to get better? Quit your vices. Fire the drug addicts who work for you. Hire drug-free prospective employees and promote them instead of allowing drug-addicted supervisors to reject or fire them. Straighten-up. Groom yourselves. Act like civilized and moral people.

Once we get past the labels, Charlottesville is ALL about guaranteed constitutional rights and free speech. The law was followed by citizens and protest permits were obtained. Coordination with local police was undergoing for TWO months, according to the organizers and police protection was coordinated and agreed. It appears that the Charlottesville mayor and / or managing director pulled the plug, AGAINST a Federal judges orders and allowed the anti protest groups to interfere and become violent. It is not a matter of conservatives or progressives at stake her. It is adherence to our Constitutional rights or abandonment of those rights by a responsible government.
