In a country of over 300 million people there have to be some lunatics. In order to decide the significance of something you have to know how big it is. The My Little Pony convention last year drew over 7000 attendees.

Apart from the poor woman who was killed, the death of a single person at the hands of these lunatics is the best thing that’s happened to the Left since Barack Obama.

Until I see evidence that this sort of nonsense is becoming in any way popular I assign it no significance except as fuel for other people, on the other end of the political spectrum who I know hate the Jews and who are far more numerous and more dangerous — for example, they recently gave $150 billion to people who made clear in English, Arabic and Farsi that they intend to use the money to try to kill members of my family.

One or two or twenty or thirty moronic skinheads don’t worry me as much as that, not by a long shot.

Being Jewish, and having lost some distant relatives in the Holocaust, I’m not real keen on this kind of ignorant hatred...it sounds eerily familiar.

In any sufficiently large group, there will be some idiots (in the traditional definition sense - i.e. having less reasoning ability than a 3-year-old, and an IQ of under 30). Believing that Jews (all 14 million of us in a world of 7.5 billion souls, quite a number of whom are not - contrary to stereotypes - all that smart or even financially comfortable, let alone Masters of the Universe rich) control everything certainly qualifies one as an “idiot” in my book.

People like this idiot, and the BLM/Anti-First Amendment crowd are a large part of the reason why I am armed, and armed well. No one is taking my family or I for an unplanned trip on a cattle car, or car-jacking or home-invading us for free.

I want to make it clear that while I condemn this particular idiot, and his fellow idiots with similar sentiments wherever they may be located, I absolutely understand and back his right to say what he wants (until it becomes an incitement to violence, that is). His rights are as valuable as anyone else’s, my own included. My attitude is that sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me.

We ALL - Jewish or not, Black or not, conservative or not - have to not only be ABLE to distinguish idiots like this from those merely interested in preserving their heritage, we have to ACTUALLY distinguish them from others. Further, even idiots have a right to demonstrate, especially if they (somehow figure out how to) get a permit. What is outrageous to me is that the police retreated from the scene and thereby allowed the various Leftist organizations to assemble - permitless - with helmets, body armor, masks and weapons, KNOWING that there’d be violence, and to thereby infringe upon the 1st Amendment rights of those that did things by the book and who weren’t threatening anyone.

Please, we ALL have to remember that the First Amendment was specifically put in place to protect unpopular political speech. People who are part of the mainstream, who never utter controversial remarks are, of course, also protected - but they really don’t need much protection, as they’re not outraging anyone else (including the government). Its the outliers, the idiots, who need protection...and the Charlotte PD, the Virginia State Police and the government of Virginia FAILED to protect them. This is a disgrace.
