He hit that car at a pretty good speed and had done all the damage he could do. He couldnt go any further and his only options were to stay ther or back up.

He very easily could have struck nearly every person on that road prior to approaching the cars that were blocked by that crowd which had armed antifa types within the crowd.
In addition, the vehicle was seen braking at least once about 70’ prior to the vehicle reaching the main group.
I can tell ya, in that vehicle I could have struck that group of people who were already blocking vehicles at about 70 mph., possibly faster. And those cars and people would have been pushed/blown clear to the opposite side of that intersection.
