This is in line with my theory that Mooch’s firing was a mercy event. This would give Mooch a chance to repair his marriage with an Anti-Trump wife. This was an attempt to get back into her good graces.

Could be. He’s old enough to appreciate a good wife if he has one. It seems likely that he blew his marital relationship in some way that might be irreparable. I wouldn’t wish divorce on anyone. It’s hard to forget the vows you took on your wedding day.

I think that was common knowledge from the get-go, and never was a secret. They brought in Mooch.
