I'll speculate here, I think it is a Caucasian based on a grainy poor, distant images I've seen of the arrest. I could be wrong.☺ However, I think it's possible the drivers motive is not going to fit the media's narrative.

Fixed it. One classic example, Badlands a notorious gay bar in the West Village, right near where the Village People did their infamous YMCA video, was shot up. A dozen people were injured, amazingly all survived. The NYC media went into a frenzy when it was discovered that the suspect was "the son of a preacher man". They really went apesh!t when it came out not just any preacher but the son of an NYPD Chaplain. The media was fervently preoccupied with this story. Then the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QINoUyrP0BI, the suspects mugshot was plastered on the front pages of the Daily News and NY Post and it was a...gasp...BLACK GUY! All of a sudden this story...silently....faded......away. Not another word of this incident until months later when he was sentenced, and even that was downplayed.
