Do the same search in a Spanish “inventores americano” and you will get a completely different list.

As posted early, it was still the Republican Party. For political purposes the ticket used that other name one time in 1864. Lincoln was a Republican.

unfortunately, Yahoo! has partnered with MSNBC, so opening up the Yahoo! page gives an indigestible mass of liberal hogwash. I sympathize. I've been very happy with ixquick. No retaining of your search history and also no push-perversion. It does the searches for you using whatever tools it needs, keeps your identity out of it, and delivers you the results. Just as fast as anything else.
I'll use google for the maps once in a while. That's it.

Google says that he belonged to the National Union Party. Bing says that he belonged to the Republican Party, Whig Party, and National Union Party.

You would be amazed at the number of Demos who think that Lincoln was a Demorat.

He also hunted vampires... :-) You laugh, but I have a book titled "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter". In the story, his mother was killed by a vampire, and so he took up the profession.

I for one am very grateful the Aunt Jemima invented pancakes and Uncle Ben invented rice.
Without these two noble AFRICAN-American inventors, breakfast and dinner would be a lot more boring!

Aunt Jemima invented maple syrup. Get your facts straight.
She also invented time travel, but that was suppressed by the patriarchy.
