i used to believe that fear mongering “fallout” stuff. but its not true. Nagasaki and Hiroshima are beautiful cities today...the US and Russia used to test gigantic hydrogen bombs above ground, and the fallout never bothered anything...all alot of hype.

Well, fallout killed half the cast and crew of a John Wayne movie, THE CONQUEROR, because they filmed it downwind of the Nevada Test site, where the US detonated 14 atomic bombs in the air the year before.

There were a lot of residents in southern Utah that succumbed, or were severely affected by downwind fallout from testing in the Nevada desert. This was many years ago, but under the right atmospheric conditions, it doesn't all dissipate into harmless particles.
