People talk about how inaccurate NK’s missile is, but it does not have to be accurate. They send one to New York but missed it by 30 miles. The nuke will still goes off, spewing radioactive materials in all directions. Would they want to live in a place located in a fallout zone 30 miles from the ground zero? I think not. Would they return to their place after a year or two? I doubt it. The property value will plummet and people will leave en masse. The city will be screwed for more than a couple of decades.

Thankfully the NORKS only have fission bombs, so a hit 30 miles from NYC wouldn’t be catastrophic. It would be for North Korea though which would be a smoldering ash heap.
