Campbell was an outstanding guitarist. He was in “The Wrecking Crew” and played on a number of Gary Lewis and the Playboys, The each Boys and other groups, recordings. ++++ Quite so but I'm betting not widely recognized by his (justifiably) adoring public.
Next time you watch a Glen Campbell video on YouTube take look at Glen's hands. Flying Pick and Flying Fingers. You will be amazed.
