If she signs that document, it’s there for the history books that she committed a crime. Who knows what a rogue judge would do with the case? I’m thinking this puts her in a lose-lose situation.

The only way she signs is if they have “the goods” and the DOJ wants blood. Even then, it might be too late as the DOJ ups the ante and increases the “plea deal” penalties to misdemeanors (out of “courtesy”). If that is the case, I doubt there will be jail time but a fine of some sort.
The only way she can face any jail time (even it its a short sentence) is if the DOJ forgoes the plea and goes straight to trial.
