If you are liberal and a faithful reader of The New York Times, you think that the Watergate campaign to take out President Nixon was America at its best. Imagine! A president covering up the criminal misdeeds of his underlings!
But the liberal knows that the Republican witch hunt of President Clinton was America at its worst. Here was a president that eliminated the deficit and produced the best economy in 50 years. And Republicans wanted to make it all about a blue dress.
Speaking as your average racist sexist homophobe, I’d say that the salient feature of both cooked-up scandals, no matter who was the villain and who was the innocent, was that the liberal ruling class got to impose its narrative. It wrote the history that that Nixon’s peccadillos were monstrous, but that Clinton’s were not. Pretty good gig if you can get it.
Obviously liberals think that with the Mueller investigation going for a grand jury they can do a repeat of the Watergate experience and drive from office another president they hate.
Maybe they are right. But I would argue that this use of government power to harass the opposition is injustice, pure and simple, and eventually the American people will experience it as such. That wouldn’t matter, except that that’s how you get to civil war.
I talked to my Pentagon contact last week and we agreed that we are in a cold civil war. But I feel that the left and the Deep State establishment just do not appreciate how dangerous things are.
I understand why. If you read the left, you will find that its priority was and is to pursue justice, by any means necessary.

Most of the Left's dupes have taken their blue pills, but I don't think that it's that the Deep State doesn't appreciate danger; many of these are anti-Christian murderers, child-molesters, -traffickers, spirit cookers and other hardened criminals. (Think DWS as H->'s protégé wannabee threatening the Capitol Police Chief.)
They're OK with CWII/WWIII, just as they were OK with the murder of thousands in that planned event on 9/11, even if it were to reduce the population by 80%, as they muse that surely any remainder would need to recognize the folly of insufficiently respecting their betters, the uberwealthy, controlling elite (masters).
They would feel that way all-the-more if blame could be insured not to fall back onto them for having incited it. (That's why felonious illegal immigrants are their (tax-payer) paid dupes--to populate their coming goons squads.) Keeping the rest of us distracted, such that they won't be fingered as having clearly instigated all the coming death and mayhem, is one of the few things that keeps pushing back WWIII's triggering events.
All these hoaxes are to soften us up for their New World Order (NWO). And they believe they "will be successful" with that NWO as G.H.W. Bush said.

Well, apparently you didn’t read what I wrote any more carefully than you read the article.
The article’s author was explaining the liberal belief system that is leading this country toward conflict. I doubt he could have made his point in the article without pointing out the idiocy of the liberal mindset. In effect he was illustrating how liberals are locked into a delusional mindset, an alternate reality that prevents them from comprehending the animus they are generating among those not sharing the liberal perspective.
For him to not present that explanation would be doing exactly what the liberals do, acting as if no other perspective exists, and catering to those that think that way, which apparently includes some people that call themselves conservatives.
Stating the liberal perspective does not mean that you share it. Know your enemy. Hiding under a rock waiting for the liberal insanity to collapse under its own absurdity hasn’t worked thus far. Being afraid to hear what they are saying is snowflake thinking.
Hopefully that helps you to understand what he was saying, before you take him out and have him shot.

I was doing contract work for an Israeli company when the Libyan civil war commenced. We had front row seats watching the NWO elite in Libya getting dragged into the streets and shot or hanged from lampposts.
