Why is he “the leader” of the GOP...

Probably some backroom deal in which he agreed not to look at any of Dem treason that would harm BHO or HRC.

Or the money stream from Soros.

Why can’t we get a new senate majority leader?

Oh, Moore would be okay for a lot of things, but I’m not sure his position is a place to press for a reprise of the unique Mosaic Law on a people who isn’t even ready.

That’s why Christ died. So that sad sacks might be saved which the law could only utterly damn. God had a heart. He didn’t see any other route to success. Even the holiest laws fell flat.

I keep on thinking about this theologically because ultimately that’s what makes history go. God proposes, man counter-proposes (being sinners they never will get everything right on earth), and God disposes.

The Repubs in the senate have been shown to be the lazy, indebted to donors, slackers they are. Now Mitch is doing PR repair for the lazy bums.

“Remember, if no candidate in the Alabama primary receives more the 50% of the votes cast next week, the primary election goes to a runoff!!!”

Yes, and from the polling I’ve seen, Moore is the only one that is anywhere near close enough to 50% to win. A question: Is Alabama like Mississippi where RATs can crossover vote in the runoff? Because if it is, the GOPe will do everything they can to make sure it’s a Brooks or Moore vs. Strange runoff it at all possible. So at the very least, Moore and Brooks need to be the two in the runoff, so the GOPe has no horse in the race, although I just imagine that their fall-back position would be to back Brooks.

Am-nasty is coming down the pike too.

There is probably sufficient “Bi-Partisan” support for it too.

Mitch McConnell is now blasting Trump for having "excessive expectations" and "artificial deadlines" for getting anything done.
Oh yea, "excessive expectations" and "artificial deadlines" is exactly what the voters who want things getting done like to hear.

What a great quote for the Democrats to run on Mitch. Nice going.

They can move pretty fast when it suits them. Presented with a bill tying the President’s hands in dealing with Russia and McConnell had that thing passed and on President Trump’s desk for signature in no time at all. Funny how that gets dealt with so quickly but anything else is met with ‘excessive expectations’ and ‘artificial deadlines’ whining.

The idea that the Republicans have a majority in the Senate is false.

Currently, there are 52 Republicans, 46 democrats and 2 independents.

HOWEVER...

From the ranks of Republicans we have:

Susan Collins,
Bob Corker,
Jeff Flake,
Linda Graham,
John McCain,
Lisa Murkowski

So, in actuality, McConnell only has 46 Republicans—and that’s still a stretch on certain days.

Don’t forget the number 2 Republican is John Cornyn.

This is not a conservative Senate. It is a RINO Star Chamber.

I think he and a lot of other Congressmen are stuck in a self fulfilling prophecy here.

We can’t do anything better than this because... well, we just can’t. We yam what we yam.

But what if you (Congressmen) knew that God, not just people, cared?

Exactly. They think they can thwart Trump and continue with business as usual? They will cease to exist and dare I say this country as we know it will cease to exist.

Hmm, that might be possible. Moore could be the bad cop to Brooks’ good cop.

Maybe we should set a date and time to pray for deliverance from McConnell, Ryan, and McCain.

Trump and Team need to ID any number of clubs specifically designed to motivate specific ‘Critters to put in his bag as he circuits the course.

It’s tough to beat Par in DC.

“It looks like President Trump needs to cut a deal with Sen. Schumer or win the 2018 midterms and add Senators while not losing Rperesentatives.”

Yes, when they had the Congress an the White House the Democrats were always reaching across the aisle, seeking bi-partisan consen ... wait,

the `rats rammed Obamacare own the country’s throat even though the town meetings on the subject were marked by vociferous opposition from the folks not exempted from it and expected to pay for it.

The GOP saw the vote Christmas Eve, 2009 as a `win-win’: knowing the `rats had the votes allowed them to wear their sackcloth and vote `Nay!’.
And then the`pubs grumbled for a few years and we gave them the Congress, and then they wore ashes until 2014: “If *only* we had the White House, anything we pass Obama will veto, oh dear ... “ Now they show their true colors.

Why would we want to add even more worthless teats to the GOP-e boar hog/Sister Wife to the Democratic party? Support them?

I will work to defeat any Republican not supporting President Trump, particularly Lyin’ Ryan, Twitch and any of their Uniparty, #nevertrumper an `rat backslapping pals. And my own “conservative” rep as well if he doesn’t get on the damned stick. Do-nothings.

Our modern American government tends to breed a lot of expectations of sinecures.

Yes, even the GOP side.

Maybe there is a virtue in the Democrats. They aren’t afraid to be honest about being rotten.
