The serious nature of the charge is the most important aspect of making an indictment of this sort. The facts of the matter have no bearing.

It used to be that the mere declaration that a person was of deviant sexual orientation was enough in the court of public opinion, to bring down the most exalted star or personality of stage, screen, radio, and TV. But then, there used to be some sense of decorum, too.

I am in my 50s and did not grow up in the age wear adults wore jackets or dresses to the doctors office or on a plane, I am also not a stick in the mud, tend to be libertarian, and did not grow up someplace rural. I basically live where the Sopranos was filmed. Having said all that, I am stunned at the freak show this country has become.
