Never been one to quit a battle, but it’s time to leave Afghanistan. What have we accomplished in the dozen or so years we’ve been there? We won a world war in five years besting the Germans and Japanese. We can’t win a war with a low rated third world cesspool?
No question it’s unwinnable. Problem is they have poppy fields that when smuggled into America are taking a huge toll on our youth.We see what the CIA is up to is that the anwer?
Apples and oranges. First, we were fighting for our very survival in WWII. The stakes were much higher. Second, WWII was a conventional war fought with clearly distinct sides that wore uniforms. In Afghanistan, we are fighting a guerrilla war or siding with one side in a civil war.
