Jeh Johnson?! WTF? Obozo stooge.....
Watching for the interaction with DAG Rosenstein.
First question is the surge in leaks. Is there a concerted effort by those in government to take down Trump? Rosenstein just answers that each leak will be investigated in an appropriate way. Criminal prosecution is not he only way to stop leaks (true - termination of employment is another).
Generally describes reorg to handle an increase in number of referrals.
Wallace says some leakers are members of Congress. will you prosecute them? Rosenstein says response is generally appropriate. If they break the law, we will prosecute. Wallace moves on the attention directed to reporters, that Sessions is proposing a dangerous threat to journalists. Rosenstein says nobody is after the reporters, after the leakers. Wallace wonders if the DOJ is ruling out criminal prosecution of publishing classified info (that is a crime, depends on the material published). The goal is to prevent leaks.
Rosenstein says the DOJ is looking at revising DOJ policy on procedures that impede investigation into leakers. Wallace wonders about jailing reporters who protect sources. No answer to a hypothetical, all case by case.
Onto Mueller and GJ, and some of the stories in the press are false. Wallace wants to know if bringing a GJ indicates likelihood of indictment. Rosenstein says "no," a GJ is an appropriate way to gather evidence.
Reports that Mueller is looking at Trump finances, are those accurate? Asks about breadth of Mueller's investigation. DOJ does not engage in fishing expedition. Mueller understands the specific scope of the investigation (so does Congress, BTW, see Comey testimony on March 20). Rosenstein and Mueller have discussed details of the scope, and if Mueller wants to expand that, he has to clear it with Rosenstein.
Wallace moves to whether or not DOJ is looking at Hillary e-mail, does Rosenstein take Trumps remarks at rally as an order? Rosenstein says he, Wray and Brand will follow the law. If Trump wants to order DOJ, he does that privately.
I encourage reading the transcript or watching, and studying the details that underlie Mueller's grant.
No one is talking about it go figure.
He's now talking about why bubba goes to Gabon Africa since the press won't follow and he can suck up as much dough as he possibly can. Bubba is a greedy bastard.
Webb now speculating that Seth Rich is not dead and how to find him, fascinating stuff.
George Webb has a lot in common with Trump. Both are really big guys. Both have really high IQ’s and both will say almost anything that comes to them, both are fearless.
Webb answers the question how does it all end, priceless.
Everything the cabal touches, slice and dice, cut and gut, from Libya to Syria, you name it anywhere they have been they destroy.
Buying dark weapons from Sen. McCain or Graham, just too good!!
Webb now interviewing a firefighter named Lou former fire chief, while petting his dog,Cooper, who knew lots of guys who died at 911. Webb just started interviewing the guy out of the blue in NYC,off Broadway,he's a true citizen journalist. True journalism from the common man.Doesn't get any better than this. The guy now talking about how the dog goes from hospital to hospital helping kids, just too good.
Maria now on FNC.
Webb interview ends with Lou and Cooper the dog as good as it possibly gets.
Hes’ amazing his interview with firechief lou and cooper the dog was amazing...!!
Yes, a fun watch, The boys from Brazil
It is a ongoing silent coup while we sit around talking about all the various things. There is just so much corruption and illegality going on it is overwhelming. And everyone here has there own take about things and wants to weigh in on it.
BUT...
To have EVERY SINGLE REPUBLICAN SENATOR vote against Trump is--as I said--unprecedented.
What is going on?
Thanks, caught him live.
No McManiac, no linda. Think I’ll go back to bed :)
Rod isn’t worth protecting no matter what he says today.
But the potential blow back from the Congress has to be factored into any replacement.
I have been authorized by the Department of Justice to confirm that the FBI, as part of our counterintelligence mission, is investigating the Russian government's efforts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election and that includes investigating the nature of any links between individuals associated with the Trump campaign and the Russian government and whether there was any coordination between the campaign and Russia's efforts. As with any counterintelligence investigation, this will also include an assessment of whether any crimes were committed.Because it is an open ongoing investigation and is classified, I cannot say more about what we are doing and whose conduct we are examining. At the request of congressional leaders, we have taken the extraordinary step in coordination with the Department of Justice of briefing this Congress' leaders, including the leaders of this committee, in a classified setting in detail about the investigation but I can't go into those details here.
Many members of Congress, Rosenstein, and Mueller know the details of the scope of Mueller's assignment. The rest of us have to "read between the lines" and learn to recognize press speculation and lies as such.
I don't trust Congress to raise an honest stink, no matter what. Just pointing out that they know, and they are hiding the ball from the public for political purposes.
I am very good friends with a poll pundit who was always on FNC. When Trump announced his candidacy to rum for POTUS, I told my good buddy, be careful what you predict, because the whole country will be taken back by the “blue collar” union folks that vote for Trump. I also told him that Trump would get between 9 & 12% of the African-American vote and, 30-40% of the Hispanic vote. The African-American non-vote will favor trump tremendously, as Blacks will stay home, not come out to vote for Hillary Clinton. Many Blacks feel strongly that Obama did absolutely zero to improve their lot, as they went downhill economically under Obama as the Obama/Clinton illegals took their jobs.
IMHO, this scenario is still holding strong. You hear very little from African-American rank & file voters and, they have no use whatsoever for nutcase CBC, Maxine Waters who could care less about American Blacks.
Unnamed Israeli officials back McMaster? And you’re falling for it?
I knew McMaster was bad news from the day I heard his name and watched some video clips of him online. He is a rank Islamic denialist and big-time neocon.
Strange is out.
Moe versus Judge Roy.
Can’t say one way or the other.
I was going to vote Moe but now with what’s happening with Trump I think it has to be Moore.
The reason is Moe is a Republican and the whole party is going overboard now and siding with the democrats. Moore is really a populist, like Trump. AS a Catholic in a very Baptist state, some of Moore’s religious views concern me, but what the heck, even the current Pope isn’t Catholic. I don’t know what to make of the world today.
Things are going thru a sea change.
I spent a military career being opposed to the Communists. By 1992 I thought we won. Now it looks like all the Communists are here! The world is turned upside down.
A random interview that turned into pure gold!
Autopsy report would be nice too...
His re-lection is looming, so he must sound right wing, yet his book trashes Trump. F. Chuck exposes him for those very reasons."..you're not sounding like the guy who wrote this book" LOL
It is up to Rosenstein to keep Mueller within the rails. According to Rosenstein this morning, Mueller is supposed to ask for approval if he wants to widen the investigation. He used Ken Starr's investigation of Clinton as the example. Starr asked permission to widen the investigation.
They have chosen sides and many of them are complicit in this coup attempt. The GOP party is finished in my opinion .
Sure enough.George is awesome!
Back to the driveby nets. F.Chuck just interviewed the FLake from Arizona I think don’t know, don’t care,Jeff Flake showed why the middle of the road is always a place where you get run over and alwasy will be.
Maria just interviewed Panetta who says Trump better get it together. Orrin Hatch coming up, less than stellar guest list except for her open with an adm. gal that was really good.
Senators are planning to continue procedural moves to prevent the Senate from formally adjourning for recess next month in order to prevent President Donald Trump from making recess appointments, when the chamber eventually adjourns through the Labor Day weekend.
Using the threat of a filibuster, Democrats plan to force the Senate to hold pro forma sessions a practice both parties have carried out to block recess appointments from presidents of opposite party, Democratic and Republican aides say.
Recess appointments let a president install nominees who normally must be confirmed by the Senate; their terms would run through the end of the "next session" of the Senate, but the "pro forma" sessions essentially means the Senate is never in recess.
While Republicans control the Senate now, the only way they can formally adjourn -- which would set up a period when recess appointments are allowable -- is to pass an adjournment resolution. The problem is that Democrats can filibuster that resolution, which they would do to prevent Trump from making recess appointments.
The maneuver started when George W. Bush was President and Democrat Harry Reid was the Senate majority leader, then continued under Barack Obama.
Obama tried to challenge the practice when he made a series of recess appointments despite the Senate meeting in pro forma sessions every three days. But the Supreme Court ruled against him saying the Senate was not technically on recess unless it was away for at least 10 days.
