What is your fasting schedule? One day? Two? Three?
I used to fast when I was younger, but find it difficult these days. And I’ve really had trouble losing, even on a low-carb diet. Sigh...
The "schedule" is to NOT be consistent. If I fasted three days every Monday-Wednesday, the body will figure it out, and time the hormonal release to accommodate. Just like when I drive to work, I suddenly get hungry because that is the same time I eat in the morning, so the body knows to release the hunger hormone at that time.
So some fasts are one day, some three, usually a two day fast or slightly longer. We did one 99 hour fast before the mountains of lasagna and cookies showed up at our house! LOL NOT what we're supposed to break the fast with....
Also, sometimes life happens. I started to fast Monday, but by Tuesday I was taking my wife to the Hopspittal for surgery, and we were thusly engaged for three days. I could have fasted, but eating helped with the boredom. So We just ... start over. I'm going to fast tomorrow, possibly saturday also.
Just keep it inconsistent so the body cannot predict when food will arrive.
