I rarely use the term since it is used indiscriminately basically as a pejorative directed at anyone who disagrees with you. Those who do use the term seem to direct it at nearly everyone in power.
In this instance it is contrasted with Nationalist. So I guess it would be anti-UN, anti-one world government(though that idea has been dead for 70 years or anti=international corporation.
That is probably as well-sourced as the claim about Brennan, in other words, not at all.

Which was too much for the “GOP Power Brokers” that existed at the time. Also there were a lot of people still alive who remembered his behavior against the “Bonus Army” during the Hoover administration. MacArthur always came across to the public as perhaps a little too patrician for American politics when compared to say Eisenhower.
