The press then started focusing on other details about the meeting, which he addressed as they came up. The press has been microanalyzing the meeting and then breathlessly reporting each new detail that emerges as if it were a “shifting statement”. For instance, they made a federal case over how many people attended the meeting—as if a CEO’s main takeaway from a meeting is how many heads were at the table. No new details that have emerged have contradicted anything Trump, Jr. said in any of his statements.
