I’ve seen brochures in Sheremetyevo airport in Moscow for a service like this in Miami. Might have been this one.

Thanks I hadn’t heard it either. We’ve heard about such places but have never seen an effort to shut them down. They need shut down because their only purpose is to give our benefits to outsiders while inevitably hurting citizens.

Funny thing is the people who pay most dearly for this is black people.

after the Civil War there was a lot of worry about what would become of them, would they be able to vote or not..?

and that was the original reason why why citizenship was awarded on the basis of being born here; so that all of those former slaves could vote.

well, the continuation of that one rule - which is extremely rare by World standards- means that all our votes are watered down by anchor babies, particularly those of black people.

This practice is why the Senate has a bill to limit Chain Migration to spouses/fiances and children. We need to change the law to correctly interpret the Constitution. Being born on US soil is not and should not be sufficient for US citizenship. The correct reading should be that “All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside” includes a condition of being “subject to the jurisdiction thereof”, which requires legal residence in our country.
