Do you object to home mortgage tax deduction?

The EV tax credit is that: a tax credit. It’s not cash handed out. I’m all for lower taxes, and if we can’t get across the board cuts, then I’ll take what we can get. Tesla doesn’t get that $7500, you get a tax break after forking over that cash.

Regardless of how the subsidy is structured, both the car buyer and car maker benefit. The buyer has to put out less cash, and the car maker will sell more cars and can charge more for them knowing that Uncle Sugar will pick up part of the tab.

But ultimately, it really doesn’t matter, in the fairly near future, the tax credit/subsidy will be gone.
