Most congress critters are very wealthy. While I’m sure they appreciate the free health care we give them (ha!) if they had to pay for it most of them would not notice.
Now, pass a law that in order to run for congress you first have to give all but $250k of your net worth to the treasury - then you would see a complete shake up. Instead of several hundred rich lawyers you would have people with real world, middle class, life experiences. Oh and while in congress the only income you would be allowed would be the salary. No book deals. No speaking fees. No campaign slush funds.

You both have good points. Still think it would be good for Trump to make them live under it.
On a related point. I believe that the AHC Act puts those under Employer Insurance to come under The Mandates of the AHC Act in 2018. I think that will get the rest of the country to take notice.

While $174K a year is a nice salary, given the cost of living in DC and environs it is puzzling that long time congressmen and senators can retire multi-millionaires. How about some investigations on THAT?
