“Following the Detroit model.”

Detroit was virtually a one industry town——that cannot be said about the entire Northeast.

Detroit was virtually a one industry town——that cannot be said about the entire Northeast.

The economics are universal.

The North East is raising taxes so high that people and industry are leaving. New industries are locating in the South where taxes are lower.

Even rich Liberals are moving south and taking their wealth with them.

Cities of the North East are raising taxes to replace the lost revenue of the fleeing masses. Retiring city employees of the baby boomer generation are placing heavy loads on city employee retirement funds that can not be supported and can not be deferred. So taxes will continue to rise.

All of this points to one conclusion. This is an irreversible trend.

But it won’t be isolated to the just the North East. All of the major metropolitan cities will eventually come to this end. They all have promised too much and they can not tax enough to keep those promises with destroying themselves.
