The really frightening thought is the realization that Clapper and Brennan ran our intelligence operation during the Obama years. Even more frightening is the realization that thousands of agents moved in lock-step with them and remain employed.
Brennan voted Communist in 1976 and then joined the intel community in 1980. I simply could not believe that he would be approved for employment until I recalled that Jimmy Carter was President and Stansfield Turner was his CIA director. Turner’s policies did much to eliminate the agent on the ground (humint) and the reliance of technology (sigint).
The CIA under Carter was complicit in one of the great blunders of CIA history when he supported the return of Khomeini to Iran and the ouster of the Shah. Carter was a blunder; Turner a blunder; Iran a blunder; and it is likely that Brennan was the biggest blunder of them all.
These agencies need to be purged but then what now you’ve got a bunch of ex-spooks out there. This is a colossal mess
