It has nothing to do with whether he did anything wrong or not. As a member of the Trump campaign, he was under an FBI investigation since July 2016. How can he preside or have a say in an investigation that involves him?
Here's the bottom line. He works for the President at his pleasure. Somebody is going to get fired. Whether it is Sessions, Mueller, or that Deep State DAG. It's likely going to happen in the next few months.
Trump has the power to do this now or even months ago. The current situation with Sessions is untenable. He can't publicly attack his AG and not take action. He ought to have the guts to fire Sessions if he is unhappy with him. IMO Sessions would rather have Trump fire him rather than resign. Trump will then have to deal with the acting AG Rosenstein who appointed the Special Counsel. If Trump fires Mueller, then he must fire Rosenstein or have him resign. Talk about chaos in the DOJ and the country as a whole. Is it any wonder that Brennan is talking about a coup if Mueller is fired? I remember vividly the Saturday Night Massacre under Nixon. It was a constitutional crisis.
The wording of the left. It's not a "constitutional crises" for Trump to exercise his official and constitutional powers to relieve a subordinate of his job.
And look above you at post #246.

Cong summer recess is coming to fill those holes if and or when Trump has to fire a a few people.
Trump is laying the ground work for firing Mueller by exposing his connections etc etc
I was around for Nixon
They were investigating a KNOWN crime
Break in of the DNC head quarters etc
The investigation was to find out if Nixon tried to cover it up even though he wasn’t involved
One thing different Trumps supporters are fed up with the left wing BS in this country and will let the Congress know it big time if they weasel out
