“No President can direct him to investigate a particular individual any more than he can direct the IRS to go after someone.”

Not True. The Attorney General works For The President. He can have him investigate crop circles if he wanted. This idea that the FBI/DOJ are separate arms of the Government is Leftist Media Propaganda. They work for the Executive branch.

You're correct. The reason why Presidents have lieutenants or cabinet members is that the job is too large to do by himself. If Presidents could do all of it, like doing the AG job, there would be no need for a cabinet.

The leftist propaganda is always heavy thick to fool people when Republican presidents get elected as I noted in this recent post.

What nonsense. So Trump can order the IRS to audit all liberal organizations? Or order the AG to launch an investigation against Schumer?

We have checks and balances in our government. The President is not a dictator with unlimited authority. There has to be some factual basis to start an investigation. Trump can stop all ongoing investigations, but lacks the authority to initiate one. If he had such power, why hasn't Trump ordered the investigations of the Clintons rather than castigating Sessions for not conducting them?
