Why is it that the supporters of Socialized Medicine don’t realize that they are not going to get all the care they need, when the Government dispenses the care? The Government decides if your life is worth the care you need and if it should spend it’s (taxpayers) money to help you. You are at the mercy of it’s ‘panels’ and the older you get, the less your life is worth to the Government. I really think that those who want this should have to experience what Socialized Medicine is really like before they totally destroy our country’s health care system. Obamacare has gone a long way toward that destruction. I pray that we can get back good health care AND autonomy in our own personal health care choices.
My father is retired, in his 80’s, in great health for his age and has been on Medicare for a long time. My mother was on Medicaid and Medicare before she passed from Alzheimer’s in a long term facility, paid for by the government, mostly.
There were complaints, of course, but I complain about my insurance company more than my father complains about Medicare. My father being a retired minister could never have afforded the long term care my mother eventually needed. I’m grateful that those programs were available for my parents.

Because the supporters of government care usually exempt themselves. Want to get rid of Obamacare? Make every federal employee sign up for it, but first give everyone a 5% increase in salary so they can pay for it on their own.
When the employees and unions complain about it, there will be no way for the media to hide it.
