ISIS in Iraq and Syria has been “dismantled,” with tens of thousands of its jihadist fighters dead, but a promising lead on its leader “went dead” after a media leak, according to a key U.S. military official.
“We have absolutely dismantled his network,” Gen. Tony Thomas, speaking of Abu Bakr al Baghdadi, said at the Aspen Security Forum. “I mean everyone who worked for him initially is dead or gone. Everybody who stepped to the plate the next time [is] dead or gone. Down through a network where we have killed, in a conservative estimate, 60,000 to 70,000 of his followers, his army.”
In a wide-ranging interview moderated by Fox News' Catherine Herridge, Thomas, who leads the Special Operations Command, said his team was “particularly close” to Baghdadi after the 2015 raid that killed ISIS oil minister Abu Sayyaf. That raid also netted his wife, who provided a wealth of actionable information.

Thomas said the direction from his boss, Defense Secretary James Mattis, was very clear.
“It was ‘defeat ISIS,’” he said. “It’s now ‘annihilate ISIS.’ I think he put a non-doctrinal term out there to amp up the volume a little bit. We all got the message.”

The leaker should be located, fix, closed with, arrested, tried and convicted of giving aid to the enemy during war and then publicly executed in a pre-handwringing, proglodyte “oh my feelz! that’s too cruel!” manner, such as the ol’ traditional choke hanging.
It’s infuriating that nothing is happening. These are actionable offenses. Why the hell aren’t they being made an example of? Are we really going to let these monsters get away with national security?!!
Put a decent bounty on him. His honorless accomplices will deliver his head, for a fraction of the cost of another manhunt.

IS and the Muslim Brotherhood are one of the many tentacles of the US State Department. When they no longer serve a purpose they will go away like Al Kayda. WE armed, financed and set ISIS in motion. By WE, I mean the CIA and the State Department. That strategy worked so well in Libya, that it just had to work in Syria.

Treason is not protected by any laws.
The NYT is on the side of the murdering jihadis, and must be shut down, its assets confiscated and distributed to the poor, and its executives jailed.
If so you couldn’t get a conviction in court (any liberal court any way).
That being said, my solution is just hire a good hit team.
The team could leave a few deniable hints to reporters and editorial boards, f#ck with the USA, go the same way.
Isn’t treason protected by the freedom of opinion, just like the freedom to kill the occupant of the womb?
Isn’t the answer obvious? Nothingbama founded ISIS.
When the powers that be fail in their duties, those duties are supposed to be carried through by we, the citizens and any of those powers that be that get in the way get solved alongside the problem itself.
But, we, the people, don’t do our job so we can’t legitimately fuss about the powers that be not doing theirs.
