See how far these activist types want to take these symbolic gestures.

And do they actually accomplish desired results?

I recall a few years ago, New Orleans deleted the name of George Washington school, and the stated reason was they didnt want to honor someone who owned slaves.

The school was renamed after some obscure African king.

There was no word on whether this change resulted in greater student achievement among the black students. Theoretically it should have boosted the self esteem of black children as they attended a school named after an historic actual African figure.

That's why I said, they'll get rid of the "Washington" right after they get rid of the "Redskins".
