The prior question is how much difference is there between the probability of a woman being killed and the probability that a man will be killed. And I think that will be heavily stacked in favor of the man. If (reasonable guess) a man is five times more likely to be killed, the answer to your question could be that men are far more likely to be killed by someone other than a spouse - and yet his likelihood of being killed by his spouse could still be greater than a wifes likelihood of being killed by her husband.IMHO age needs to be factored in, heavily.
