Absolutely. Those are from Dave Leip’s website, and he started doing his maps in the late ‘90s before the Orwellian newspeak media switcheroo of Election Night 2000. He never changed them because it would’ve been too much work.
It was always Blue=Republican and Red=Democrat up until G.H.W.Bush if I remember correctly.
