I think a lot these college students would have trouble with even basic math equations.

We lost the basic math education in our public schools when memorization was outlawed. It became ‘racist’ to require elementary school children to memorize the multiplication tables. How can algebra students factor 56, if they don’t know the multiplication facts that went into making 56?
