In Trump's statement, he blames Sessions for not apprising Trump that Sessions was bound to recuse - that Sessions' omission was "unfair -- and that's a mild word." Trump was not bound to recuse period. You may not of heard but an AG can be in Contempt of Congress and continue on as if nothing happened.
