Even with the very best follow-up treatments available, McCain probably doesn't have more than two years left - and that's being extremely generous. He really needs to face the hard truth that his days are numbered, and do what most people do in similar circumstances.

He should resign and focus on his health and his treatment and unfortunately he will probably keep his seat and hamstring the senate for 1-2 years.

I doubt McCain resigns with Obamacare repeal on the table. I am afraid most likely he is the 3rd vote to keep it now.
