In Interview, Trump Expresses Anger at Sessions and Comey, and Warns Mueller

WASHINGTON — President Trump said on Wednesday that he never would have appointed Attorney General Jeff Sessions had he known Mr. Sessions would recuse himself from overseeing the Russia investigation that has dogged his presidency, calling the decision “very unfair to the president.”

In a remarkable public break with one of his earliest political supporters, Mr. Trump complained that Mr. Sessions’s decision ultimately led to the appointment of a special counsel that should not have happened. “Sessions should have never recused himself and if he was going to recuse himself he should have told me before he took the job and I would have picked somebody else,” Mr. Trump said.

In a wide-ranging interview with The New York Times, the president also accused James B. Comey, the F.B.I. director he fired in May, of trying to leverage a dossier of compromising material to keep his job. Mr. Trump criticized both the acting F.B.I. director who has been filling in since Mr. Comey’s dismissal and the deputy attorney general who recommended it. And he took on Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel now leading the investigation into Russian meddling in last year’s election.

I was mocking Vice President Pence, who goes on and on about being ‘deeply humbled’ and ‘very grateful’.

Once or twice is honest and sincere but this guy wallows in it.

Back to Pence being Trump’s #1 mistake.

I screamed last year at Trump through the computer screen and the TV NOT to make the same mistake Reagan did when he picked Bush for political reasons in the election. Trump didn’t listen even though I screamed LOUD.

Reagan and America didn’t need Bush and IMO Trump and America don’t need Pence.

Bush lead us to 28 years of government growth and socialist tyranny. I don’t trust Pence at all, almost from the first time I laid eyes on him. I think he is another Bush.

I hope something happens, Trump wises up, and somehow gets the RIGHT guy for 2024 to finish what Trump has started. In 2024, Trump’s VP has got to be the OUTSIDER who has no problem with dismantling the rest of the 80% unconstitutional portion of the feds. Pence is NOT that guy and our future depends on it. America is not out of the woods yet - not by a long shot.

I agree completely.

All along I said that the VP should be Trump II.

I didn’t mean literally a Trump, but rather someone just like him.

It is early, and I don’t like dynasties, but damn it one of the boys would be better than Pence.
