Have student loan policies follow standard, prudent loan practices.

Any major which has too many defaults becomes ineligible for more loans. Any college which has too many defaults, becomes ineligible.

I would go as far as having colleges cosign the loans. Any defaults get clawed out of the endowment and faculty pension fund. Suddenly colleges would stop admitting unqualified students.

Just end government involvement in, and guarantees of, student loans.

It should be a private sector transaction like borrowing money for any other purpose.

Curently it’s a back door way to subsidize colleges.

Without government loan money the eagerness to provide degree programs in stupid leftist “studies” would evaporate in one day.
