You can bet the city and/or its insurers will throw money at the family in an attempt to get this to go away. I hope the family wants answers more than money.

Now that I think about it, the family might be pressured if money doesn’t work right away. There are a lot of people/institutions/agendas that are at risk if this case is investigated thoroughly. I hope the family is up to that.
