Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) says she will not support moving forward with a plan to repeal ObamaCare with a delayed replacement, effectively killing the latest legislative gambit from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).
With Murkowski's defection, GOP leaders do not have the votes to move forward to an ObamaCare repeal bill that passed the Senate in 2015, but was vetoed by then-President Obama.
Earlier Tuesday, Sens. Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) also said they will not support moving to the repeal-only bill. Republicans can only afford two defections if Vice President Pence breaks a tie.

The main thing is to repeal Obamacare now. Then they can play with any replacement or none.
Just repeal it!
Then start defunding Obamacare, piece by piece.
Put it to a Cote anyways. Let it fail and put everyone on record.
Three women...detecting a pattern here...
Yup
Nanny State Socialists
I am somewhat in favor of a repeal with a 2 year sunset.....but we know what is going to happen.
They will wait until the last minute, extend it a few times and then do “emergency” legislation that nobody can see and pass it in the middle of the night.
End of story.
The fact is no Republican from the lowest janitor all the way up to Trump wants to get rig of ACA.
Capito voted for the same bill in 2015. Collins at least is being consistent, albeit mind-numbingly ridiculous.
So, will voters in Alaska, Maine, and West Virginia remember these three liberal Republicans (Murkowski, Collins, and Capito) were lying to their faces and pulling their chains when they pretended to want to repeal ObummerCare in 2015?
We are undone by Rinos, as usual. But look on the bright side, the Democrats aren’t going to move their agenda forward any time soon either.
Murki and Collins voted for it in 2015. Both are playing the game to hold out for a kickback. Trump needs to just kick their collective arshes from the bully pulpit. The big problem is that none of these twits are up for election in 2018.
Two things that need to be done . . .
First, take all 100 Senators and 435 Representatives and put them on a boat. Send them 50 miles offshore and SINK THE F**KER.
Second, Trump holds a press conference and announces a new regulation for all Obamacare policies: no lawsuits for medical damages can be filed for any Obamacare policy. Let the Dems oppose that one on record. Doing that one thing will bring down Obamacare prices substantially. Since we are now stuck with this turkey we might as well legislate the S**T out of it with OUR priorities.
And when those policy premiums fall substantially you can run in 2018 on doing the same with ALL policies.
People say Obamacare will “implode.”
I don’t see how that will happen. It still has the force of law and it still has a US Federal Government with massive debt and printed money funding it - no matter how ridiculous it is, and no matter how much the middle class gets crushed.
Someone, please tell me how Obamacare will “implode.”
Bingo!!!
Does this mean that they will vote on single payer?
I agree with whoever said it, PUT it to a vote.
Put it to a vote and then, Mr. President, get off yer are and hit the rally trail. Hit it in Alaska, hit it in WV and hit it wherever these cowards reside. Then, let’s see how they handle things.
DID THEY VOTE FOR REPEAL ONLY LAST TIME?
WHEN THEY KNEW ODUMBASS WOULD NOT SIGN I
For starters, Mitch McConnell sits down to pee.
Everyone hates Congress - but rather, everyone should hate the absolutely massive, unelected, expensive Federal Government instead. It is a force unto itself, and it grows itself.
In a world where the Federal Register expands by 80,000 pages each year, Fed.gov uses printed money and debt to survive, we have a completely secretive surveillance state watching everyone and every big bank, insurance company, defense contractor and crony-capitalist with a lobbyist in DC is taking a skim - our elected representatives are the last thing "the people" have.
