God forbid her daughter bring home a good bottle of Texas wine when she visits...lol.

I've taken a couple of out-of-town friends with ties to Napa to my favorite winery in Burleson. They aren't wine snobs, and enjoyed the wine we sampled. They also liked the friendliness of everyone there.

Austin and the Hill Country are great areas for wine and craft breweries. I fell in love with Gruene, plenty of shops for my wife and a great wine bar for me. Perfect!!! Lol, Fredericksburg is like that, too, but with more shops and a half dozen wine bars...

My last time in Fredericksburg my alcohol purchases were for mixed six-packs of TX craft brewery beer from a shop on the main drag.
