We’re probably among the few here who remember Dizzy Dean and the weekend CBS-TV broadcasts of Major League Baseball.
Dizzy and Pee Wee. Great fun for this young boy at the time.
Like the time the Yankees brought in reliever Ryne Duren . . .as he walked to the mound from the bullpen, Dizzy looked at the NY roster and announced, with hesitation:

Me and my dad liked him so much we always bought Ole Diz Charcoal. “Pardners, you’ll like it”
