“Well many FReepers have had plenty of time to read it since it was already posted 2 days ago.”

I have no reason to doubt you. So you are probably correct.

However, before I posted the article, I searched in the upper right corner using the Titles option. The search did not show the article as already being posted.

I just searched again, and it only shows the article being posted 1 time, by me ===>

“I’ve Worked with Refugees for Decades. Europe’s Afghan Crime Wave Is Mind-Boggling.

In 2014, when waves of refugees began flooding into western Europe, citizens and officials alike responded with generosity and openness. Exhausted refugees spilled out of trains and buses to be met by crowds bearing gifts of clothing and food, and holding up placards that read “Welcome Refugees.” This was a honeymoon that could not last.

When I click, “search older articles”, it still only shows me.

Have a great day.

The search function on FR blows big steaming chunks, so don't use it. Use an existing search engine thusly:

site:freerepublic.com In 2014, when waves of refugees began flooding into western Europe, citizen

This gets you a boatload of results. I use internal text instead of the headline because editors often dink with the headlines.

People are sloppy, the search function isn't so if you put in the complete title everything has to match exactly. In this case one title had a period at the end, the other one didn't so you couldn't find any matches. It's not your fault. You did it right the first guy didn't. I always do partial searches to make sure things like that don't mess me up. All it took to fix it was a title search for refugees

search for refugees
