Anyone reading the fine small print? Haven't checked with the ods makers in Vegas but I'm guessin' a lot of these assclowns will get re-elected. Will the state fine residents that fail to comply? Or just no permits if "alternate" enegy means are not included in the submission. So, if you want to sell your house you have to retrofit it with solar first. Yeah, that'll take a bite out of your take on the sale.

A Democratic member of the Senate told us We cannot wait any longer to save the planet. The time is now. We asked him about the economic effect of the bill. He stated, This will be a huge economic stimulus for California. Now all my family members who are here as undocumented workers can get a job. It will take the burden off me of supporting them. Who do you think is going to climb on all those roofs and install those solar panels? Why don't people read the article before responding? FR needs a check box that says: "I didn't want to bother to read the article, but it's OK to waste everybody else's time by posting an uninformed reply." Facebook generation is ruining FR.

How much has Mr. de León invested in solar energy companies?

This may or may not save money on energy per household but it won’t be green. The windmills kill millions of birds per year and solar needs batteries to be efficient which take 8 years to become green neutral to offset the pollution they generate to make as do the solar panels themselves.
This is really nothing more than a feel-good leftist type law/bill. It’s not green and I bet when all the costs are added up and averaged over 20, 30, and 40 years; it would not even be cheaper.
About the only good thing to come from something like this might be the roofing lasting longer due to the solar panels protecting them from the sun. Big whoop.

If you put solar panels on windmills, the wires will get hopelessly tangled.

As for farms, they must commit 25% of their acreage to windmills. Birds?
Birds?
We don't need no stinkin' birds!

This was reading like All California's Problem until this:

Oh, the stupidity and the arrogance, it just burns...

At every opportunity the California ruling democrats just want to make life more uncertain for the citizens of the state. That’s not representation, it’s thuggishness to garner more control that will result in slavery of the masses. Personally I don’t know anyone who is willing to be a slave of the state.

Jobs....... the bill reveals where Hillary’s green jobs were.
By forcing solar and wind, massive numbers of jobs are created.
What is actually needed is creation of California Greenie graves.

"The California Senate Majority Leader Kevin de León has introduced a new bill..." Misleading headline. If it's only a bill that's been introduced then California isn't requiring anything.
