America wants to trade with Canada as long as its really fair trade not trade where the Gv’t subsidizes Canadian producers who can then drive our non-subsidiized industries out of business.
Open marketplace cuts both ways. Americans have long close ties with Canadians and I think both sides want that to continue. However America has had poor, disinterested or frankly malign leadership for almost a decade and needs to set things to rights. Canadian has had unfair advantages which they cannot be blamed for maximizing but the times are changing.

Canada and Mexico are the exceptions because of SHAFTA. Every other country charges a duty on our exports to their country while we, like the globalist trade sluts the USA has become, lets everything in almost duty free.
