Trump Jr. posts full text of email with Russian lawyer
Donald Trump Jr. Twitter feed ^ | July 11, 2017 | Donald Trump, Jr.

Posted on 07/11/2017 8:48:08 AM PDT by Defiant

It's a two part tweet. The media will focus on the part that says that the Russian government has information to provide to the Trump campaign, and that they support Trump. That part reads like an operation to entrap Trump, Jr. Trump just wanted to talk on the phone, eventually agreed to a meeting.

In contrast, I switched back to Fox Business and the guest said that this was nothing and it was a buying opportunity.

That's what Maria said on election night when the markets were tanking. Anybody that followed through on her advice did very well indeed.

This Russian lawyer had the interest of one single group....the ultra-rich billionaire crowd of Russia who were on a listing forbidding their entry into the US. How the NY Times reached this story of theirs....without a copy of the e-mail is an amazing part of the story. Basically, with Trump Junior’s release, their whole story is finished off in a matter of minutes. Another fake news episode.

-- Where's the collusion? --

This is typical of the reasoning: Donald Trump Jr. may have crossed the legal line on collusion - WaPo

you can go to jail for conspiring with a foreign adversary to influence or undermine an election, and Jacobovitz thinks what Trump Jr. did ...

"You may have crossed the line on conspiracy to commit election fraud or conspiracy to obtain information from a foreign adversary," he said. "You cannot benefit from a foreign adversary in this kind of scenario."

Yup.

Still no smoking gun here. Zero, zip, zilch nada evidence the Russians had anything damaging to communicate on Hillary Clinton.

Opposition research is normal in a campaign. The fake news is blowing it way out of proportion.

The Dems worked with Ukraine to do the same kind of thing (plus, with the help of you-know-who, to do another regime change there).
The media propaganda machine is doing more harm to America than Russia. I threw out my cable box years ago. I suspect that more subscribers would throw theirs out if not for cancellation fees and bundling.

Willingness to collude is not the same as actual collusion, which BTW isn’t illegal.

Like any intelligence agency would, you gather information from whatever source wants to give it to you, and then you assess what the truth is.

To commit collusion, it has to be evidence of illegally acquired information.

Still no proof to that effect. Its just amusing to see the Left work itself into a frenzy over Trump.

Wait - they have been doing that for eight months now.

"You may have crossed the line on conspiracy to commit election fraud or conspiracy to obtain information from a foreign adversary," he said.

It is not election fraud to release damaging information about an opponent, and the conspiracy charge is not an actual crime. They just say stupid stuff and make it up as they go.

What it proves is Trump got ahead of the curve on Hillary.

He played offense. And the fake news snowflakes are melting!

I don't understand how receiving am email is a crime unless one acts on the information. I think they are fishing.

Yep. The media and Congress and the Courts are on a mission to delegitimize the election and undermine the Trump administration. The Russians couldn't do a thousandth of the damage that is being perpetrated by the enemy inside the gate.

Grassley: Lack of Transparency Plays into Russia's Hands

It's time to stop playing into Russia's hands by intentionally sowing false doubt about your political opponents.

Sounds like one of those Nigerian e-mails you get pitched where you get rich overnight.

Hey, don’t laugh. In my case it worked. I just deposited a cashiers check from Nigeria for 5 million dollars yesterday. I’m shopping for a Ferrari right now!

Who knew Nigeria had a “Joe’s discount savings and loan” bank?!

Who the heck knows what "collusion" is? The press redefines words from moment to moment. The country is being run on speculation and insinuation, which flourishes in a fact vacuum. One function of the press is to insure the fact vacuum persists.

This will be a problem given then language in the email about the Russian government wanting to support Trump. Admittedly, it is thru an intermediary, but the Dems will jump on it big time.

I hope not.

Trump joking about the Russians maybe helping look for PIAPS's emails that she "couldn't find" during the debates is what got this whole dam Russia, Russia, conspiracy, collusion etc., etc. thing rolling.

None of it has any chance of amounting to anything, but the slimy Democrats have greatly reduced what Trump might have done during his first six months with this stupid Russia-gate production.

They can't do anything else so they're just trying to run out the clock.
